I would like to suggest that it’s a weight-loss technique, adopted from those guys I knew in high school who would sleep, sweating, in several layers the night before a weigh-in for a wrestling match to qualify for a lighter class.  I would like to suggest that yes, I am cold, soundly, in both heart and soul. I would like to suggest that I am Cold. Indrid Cold. I would like to suggest all these things because they are—taken collectively or individually—slightly more interesting than the truth, which is that there was a problem with the furnace last night.
