Can a creative person
have no trauma in his past?
Does head trauma count?
Or a toxic river?
I learned to swim in sludge.

What doesn't kill you
makes you stranger
will try again later.

Been watching this for a while; I went on a tour of its construction last year.
My excitement has been tempered by (understandably) slow progress. Specifically: missed deadlines & benchmarks, probable symptoms of the city (which is involved, along with Friends of the High Line) spreading itself too thin. But to be fair, much about this project is uncharted territory. As previously posted:

Some of the infrastructure involves concepts never before used, due in large part to its being so site-specific (think: suspending not just a walkway & lighting, but a public park, including all the flora, and a self-contained irrigation system). Accordingly, certain aspects of its construction have been “learn-as-you-go.”
